Our Mission: To deliver creative, exciting and technically flawless events that exceed our client’s expectations.

AVCOM was set-up on the 8th December 1980 by Tony Murphy.

He initially specialised in the rental of cameras, monitors and audio systems for the training and conference markets.

Tony also supplied video production and recording, winning numerous awards, including an award at the 33rd International Industrial Film & Video Congress.

By the turn of the century

AVCOM was employing 35 full time staff, provided a dedicated in-house service to five major hotels in Dublin and was widely recognised as the “one stop shop” to go to for full technical productions.

In 2009 Tony retired from the day to day operation and took up the role of chairman.

To make sure your event runs smoothly, we make sure our back-end runs smoothly. We use the latest software and technology to integrate all our systems – Rentman, Stardaw and Xero to name a few.

Our safety certified  3,700m² warehouse is filled with the latest Audio, Visual, Staging and Lighting rental stock. Lots of space for prepping every project, as well as equipment testing and staff training.

Safety means a lot us – not just for you, but to look after our technicians as well. All rigging is tested and certified twice a year, and all electrical equipment is maintained and PAT tested in-house.

About The Salvation Army Republic of Ireland

The Salvation Army in Ireland has existed for 130 years and today is at the heart of the Capital’s homeless services. We work with adults, young people and families that are experiencing homelessness.

But The Salvation Army is about more than just putting a roof over someone’s head. We strive to help people overcome problems such as debt, addiction and unemployment that have made them homeless in the first place. In doing so, we help them gain the confidence and skills they need to rebuild their lives so that they might never become homeless again.
