When you really want to WOW your attendees, there is nothing better than a bespoke LED visual display setup along with dynamic motion graphics content. Gone are the days of setting up a big screen surface and projecting a video. Our clients want more. Our staging designs include multiple displays, media servers and content that bring their messages together.

At AVCOM, we have made another significant investment in our LED display technology and have a new order of 150 panels of Absen PL2.5 Pro LED Screen, Novastar 4K processors and Absen rigging solutions on the way from China and should be with us late June. So what does this mean for our clients?

From live performance and theatre to corporate conferences and international summits; wireless systems are everywhere. Despite their prevalence, wireless audio remains one of the more complex and misunderstood areas of live sound. Wireless Mastered: Live Events demystifies the world of wireless by providing Front of House Engineers, AV Technicians and Production Professionals with the knowledge and confidence to operate reliable, secure wireless microphone systems in today’s challenging RF environment.

  • RF technology – how it works and how to operate a secure, reliable system you can depend on
  • Recent changes to spectrum allocation – what you need to know, how it affects you, and what you can do to mitigate risk
  • Training with Shure’s Wireless Workbench software, including how to scan the RF environment, coordinate frequencies, and monitor systems during an event
  • Additionally, attendees had the chance to see Shure’s industry leading wireless products, including; Axient, UHF-R, ULX-D, QLX-D and PSM1000.

This year the AVCOM team made our annual pilgrimage to the AV industry’s mecca; ISE 2019 Amsterdam.
Integrated Systems Europe is the world’s largest exhibition for Audio Visual and System Integration professionals. A place where markets and people come together to collaborate, learn and do business. The event floor space is over 53,000 sq meters (think 4 Croke Park pitches) and over 1,300 exhibitors showcasing the latest and greatest in all things AV.

Of course, it’s not just about the equipment, the trip gives us the outlet away from the everyday office requirements to focus on the future of the business, allows us to network and share experiences and ideas with ourselves and our peers in the industry we all love.

This years event showed more evolution of products rather than revolution. LED pitch is getting smaller, but also more flexibility with curving functions and cornering options. Content & signalling is moving from HD to 4K – changing the level of visual detail and clarity we’ve come to expect from our screens. Not only are projectors transitioning from lamp to laser technology, their resolutions are increasing to 4K and brightness is increasing to 50,000 lumen devices.

Finally, we listened ( pun intended ) to our audio experts about advancements in microphones, technology changes in speaker production and of course reminisced about the good old days of analogue systems – remember handing your client a cassette tape of a recording of a meeting!

All in all, it was an informative trip and we had some fun along the way. The real work starts now, where we decide what and where to invest in, to ensure our customers have the most advanced, creative and usable technology for their events while ensuring we remain The Technical Events Specialists.
