Citywest Hotel – Plenary
An unusual seating arrangement for the 400 attendees
provided an interesting technical challenge for the Avcom crew. A centre
catwalk stage located under six QX30 trusses which Avcom rigged with generic
stage wash lights, LED pixel lines, Eyecolor wash lights, Mac and Robe 250
moving lights. A zoned multi speaker sound reinforcement system was also hung from the truss and all presenters used DPA headset microphones. Due to the seating
arrangement, two rear projection 10m widescreens supplied the video and
graphics content. Each screen had three 12,000 lumen HD Panasonic projectors,
providing a seamless blended background image and three ‘Picture-In-Picture’
windows, all controlled by Avcom’s new Analog Way Di-Ventix II production
mixers and new Analog Way Orchestra Unit. Four HD cameras provided close up
shots of the presenters from every angle on the stage, which was mixed and
relayed to the ‘Picture-In-Picture’ windows. A third screen, 5m wide with a
12,000 lumen HD projector was used for ‘Live Twitter’ content. A team of ten
technicians (projection, sound, lighting and camera) set-up this room over two
days and then supported the clients throughout their meetings over four event
days.

Citywest Hotel – Breakouts
At the same time, a separate team of five technicians
set-up and supported thirteen breakout rooms. All rooms were supplied with
sound systems, wireless microphones, projectors, screens, laptops and four of
these rooms had the audio content recorded directly to Mpeg3 files and video
recorded by two separate roving camera crews over two of the event days.
Citywest Hotel – Exhibition Area
Ten 46” LCD HD TV screens and single phase power was
supplied for the client demonstration booths. All screens had to have HDMI
inputs and each booth had to have power to run high end computer servers for
client demonstrations.

RDS
An awards ceremony, gala dinner and entertainment for 400pax held in the Concert Hall. Avcom supplied the entertainment sound system, lighting for the room, stage and dancefloor area. A chill out room was created in the library, Avcom supplied mood lighting, pipe+drape and audio from the main room.

St. Patrick Cathedral
Our clients stopped off in St. Patricks Cathedral on the way to their event in the Guinness Storehouse. A choir was in place to entertain and Avcom supplied LED lighting to add a little atmosphere and warmth to the event.

Guinness Storehouse
An awards ceremony and gala dinner for 400pax. Avcom supplied the sound system, microphones, stage and room lighting for the awards ceremony in the Arrol Suite on the 2nd floor. Due to another event in the room that morning, the Avcom team were under pressure to deliver the look and quality the client demanded, which we delivered an hour ahead of schedule. LED lighting was also set-up in three restaurants located on the 5th Floor of the Storehouse.
