History
Avcom was set-up on the 8th December 1980 by Tony Murphy specialising in the rental of cameras, monitors and PA systems for the training and conference markets. Avcom also supplied video production and recording, winning numerous awards, including an award at the 33rd International Industrial Film & Video Congress.
In 1998 Avcom was incorporated as a limited company, moved premises to a 767m2 warehouse in the centre of Sandyford Industrial Estate and was widely recognised as the “one stop shop” to go to for full technical productions.
By the turn of the century Avcom was employing 35 full time staff and provided a dedicated in-house service to five major four and five star hotels in Dublin.
In 2009, Tony announced his retirement from the everyday operations of Avcom. The business continues to thrive under the leadership of his son Paul and company directors.
In 2016 Avcom celebrated its thirty sixth year in business, won the Best AV Company for the third time and produced events across Ireland, Europe, UAE and USA.
Charity Partner

Avcom are delighted to announce our 2017 charity partner is The Wheel. The Wheel is Ireland’s support and representative umbrella network for community, voluntary and charitable organisations. They help them get things done, represent their shared interests to Government and other decision-makers and promote a better understanding by the public of them and their work. In one line – they are a “one stop shop” for and about the charity sector in Ireland.
